Black Tea Caffeine
Many customers wonder if black tea contains caffeine and how much. Yes, it contains caffeine or better-called teaine. The content, however, varies from variety to variety. Generally, it can be said that a cup contains between 30 and 60 milligrams. That’s about half a cup of coffee.
It is precisely because of this ingredient that black tea has the same stimulating effect as coffee, i.e. it has a stimulating effect on the circulation and metabolism. However, it is more digestible than coffee, because the caffeine is only absorbed in the intestine and also has a calming effect on the stomach.
Brewing time
As with green tea, the exact brewing time of black tea is also important for the taste. And also here there are different black tea brewing times from variety to variety. Basically, you let it brew for 2-3 minutes. If the tea should have a calming effect, even up to 5 minutes are allowed. For the perfect time, it is nevertheless advisable to pay attention to the preparation instructions of the respective tea.
In addition to the brewing time of black tea, the temperature of the water and its lime content is also important. For perfect tea, the best thing to do is to use the water immediately after boiling, i.e. at around 95 degrees, for the tea, and to use water with the lowest possible lime content.
