Red Ginseng Tea of best quality from South Korea
Red ginseng and white ginseng are not two different plants, they differ in processing and growth time. While white ginseng is usually harvested and processed after 4 years, red ginseng, like our ginseng, grows for exactly six years. Only then is it harvested. Red ginseng has a higher ginsenoside content than white ginseng because the roots are subjected to a traditional steaming process. The freshly harvested root is treated with steam for 2 – 3 hours and then dried, often pressed. The ginsenosides are thus better preserved.
The ginseng plant Panax chinseng C.A. Meyer has been cultivated in Korea for thousands of years and is used as a natural remedy. The perennial plant thrives only on specially prepared soil and must not be harvested for several years. The natural treasure absorbed in the ginseng root is therefore rich in valuable substances.
Red Ginseng – Effect
Ginseng contains various amino acids, B-complex vitamins and ginsenosides. Red ginseng is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to support the equilibrium of bodily functions, i.e. to eliminate possible dysfunctions. It is particularly used to stimulate the ageing organism.
Production
The freshly harvested roots are processed by Korea Ginseng Corporation to red ginseng and in a further step to ginseng extract and finally to granulate. The extract is then applied to a sugar carrier. It is immediately soluble in hot or cold water without leaving any residue. Enjoy it as a hot drink in winter and as a delicious soft drink in summer.
