A typical Asian tea drink made from jujube (red date) and various nuts such as almonds and sunflower seeds.
The jujube is a small, red fruit and is also called red date or Chinese date, cumul date. It is a South Asian fruit tree that is grown in tropical and subtropical areas worldwide. The red date tastes very much like apples before it is fully ripe. When ripe and dried, it tastes more like a date. This makes jujube tea very aromatic.
Jujubes contain a lot of vitamin C, vitamin A, protein, potassium, iron, calcium. The many health benefits of the fruit make this tea one of the most popular, caffeine-free herbal teas in China.
In TCM, jujube tea is used not only for its calming and relaxing effects, but also for the many antioxidants it contains.
Ottogi Jujube Tea uses powdered raw materials of jujube concentrate, which are produced very carefully so that the taste and aroma are completely preserved. Delicious almonds, sunflower seeds and nuts are then added.
