This handpicked, wild mulberry tea from South Korea has a wonderful taste, which is similar to green tea but without caffeine. A perfect accompaniment for the evening hours. This package contains 40 g of loose mulberry leaves.
Because of its ingredients, mulberry tea is often used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Made from clean roasted mulberry leaves collected from the wild, mulberry leaf tea offers an enticing texture and soothing taste. The tea is used in TCM to prevent diabetes, stroke and arteriosclerosis, purify the blood and inhibit the ageing process.
This tea comes from the mountainous regions of South Korea, more precisely from the Jeollanam-do province, where it grows and is harvested. It comes from young leaves of the mulberry bush. These are picked by hand and then roasted over an open fire.
Mulberry tea is very popular in Northern Asia. The mulberry bush is considered the “divine tree” there. It has played an important role in silk production for thousands of years, because the silk worms are fed with the leaves.
The pure herbal tea from South Korea has a golden-yellow infusion and a slightly nutty aroma. It comes very close to the taste of green tea.
Ingredients: 100% mulberry leaves.
Pour about 2-5g over 70-80 °C hot water and let it steep for three to five minutes. The infusion can also steep for a longer time, because mulberry tea contains only very few bitter substances. The tea will therefore not become bitter even after a longer infusion time.
