Strong and full-flavored Broken Orange Pekoe
This black tea from Malaysia is one of BOH’s premium teas. Bukit Cheeding No 53 is a fully aromatic, strong Broken Orange Pekoe. Its strong character stimulates the mind – a perfect tea to start the day. A dark cup tea that tastes great with milk and sugar.
For easy preparation, this premium tea is packed in individually foiled pyramid bags. This type of tea bag has the advantage that immediately after infusion, a lot of water reaches the bag and the flavours of the tea can develop particularly well. The pyramid bags are made of organic corn starch. This is especially good for the taste and also for the environment, because the bags are 100% biodegradable.
BOH is the leading tea grower in Malaysia and owns four tea plantations (or tea gardens) in the country. Besides Bukit Cheeding, these are Boh, Sungei Palas and Fairlie, all located in the Cameron Highlands. This Broken Orange Pekoe is one of a total of 4 “Garden Teas”, which come unblended from a single tea garden and are selected for their exceptional character. This is how this tea got its name: Bukit Cheeding No 53.
Bukit Cheeding is the only lowland tea garden in the world where tea plants are grown under oil palms that protect the tea plants from direct sunlight. This is how its unique aroma and flavour comes about.
Preparation recommendation: Bring approx. 200 ml of water to the boil. If possible, make sure to use water that has not been boiled too often. If water is heated too often, the oxygen content is reduced, which has a negative effect on the taste. Pour over the pyramid bag and let it steep for 3 – 5 minutes.
This premium tea is available in 2 variants: 15 pyramid bags in a decorative tin with tropical flower decoration or as a refill bag with 15 pyramid bags.
